The Road to the Heart of Andalusia
Algámitas is just over an hour’s drive from Malaga Airport, the main gateway for foreign flights to Andalusia. There are also numerous choices of scheduled charter flights from other airports in the area.
We can arrange airport transfers, ranging from an eight-seat taxi to a 20-seat coach. If you wish, you can also use these vehicles for day trips. Car rentals can also be arranged at affordable rates, and we’re happy to assist you with this. The village of Algámitas is located about 45 minutes north of Ronda, our nearest town. Closer by are the provincial towns of Campillos, Osuna, and Olvera, each less than a half-hour drive away. Further away, about an hour to an hour and a half’s drive, lie the beautiful cities of Seville, Córdoba, Granada, and Málaga. Each is rich in history, art, Andalusian-Moorish architecture, and, of course, delicious Spanish cuisine.
Directions by car
From Malaga airport
Malaga -> Churriana -> Campillos -> Algámitas -> Cortijo Rosario
When you leave the airport, cross the first roundabout. As the road splits, keep to the right and follow the signs to Torremolinos.
You will then come to a four-lane road. After about 1 kilometer, take the exit toward Churriana. Follow the signs to Churriana along a four-lane road with many traffic lights. You will come to a roundabout. Take the first exit toward Cartama. Follow this road until you reach a roundabout with a road crossing over it. Follow the signs to Campillos.
When you arrive in Campillos, take the exit to the left toward Jerez de la Frontera. Drive through Campillos. As you continue on the A382 (also known as the A384), you will pass the exit for Teba. At the next intersection, signs will indicate Almargen and El Saucejo (A451). Take this exit and the first exit at the roundabout toward El Saucejo. After 9 km, take the second exit at the roundabout toward El Saucejo Sur. After 1 kilometer, turn left toward Algámitas (A406). After 500 meters, turn left. Watch out for the sharp right-hand turn! Continue until the T-junctions and turn left onto the A406. After 7.5 kilometers, you will reach Algámitas. Follow the road to the right through the village and exit the village toward Pruna. After about 500 meters, turn right onto a path. Another 500 meters further on, you will see Cortijo Rosario on your right.

From Seville Airport
Sevilla -> Osuna -> El Saucejo -> Algámitas -> Cortijo Rosario
Leave the airport heading toward Seville via the N4 (IV). Before you reach Seville, you’ll see signs for Granada and Málaga. Take this exit and follow the road to join the A92 toward Osuna-El Saucejo, then follow the signs to El Saucejo (A351). After about 20 kilometers, turn right toward El Saucejo. Stay on this road through the town and follow the signs to Algámitas (SE461/A360). You will enter Algámitas. Continue on this road, which curves to the right. You’ll leave the village heading toward Pruna, and after about 500 meters, you’ll come to a left-hand curve. At this point, turn right onto a path. Another 500 meters further on, you’ll see Cortijo Rosario on your right.

From Jerez Airport
Jerez de la Frontera -> ARcos de la Frontera -> Olvera -> Algámitas -> Cortijo Rosario
Leave the airport and follow the signs for Cádiz, keeping an eye out for signs for Arcos de la Frontera. Once on this road—usually called the A382 but sometimes the A384—you’ll drive for about an hour past Arcos, Algodonales, and Olvera until you eventually reach a left-hand turn just past kilometer 82. You’ll see a sign pointing left onto the A9223 toward Algámitas and El Penón. Take this exit, and about 5 kilometers later you’ll arrive in Algámitas. Follow the road through the village and exit the village toward Pruna. After about 500 meters, you’ll come to a left-hand turn. At this point, turn right onto a paved road. Another 500 meters further on, you’ll see Cortijo Rosario on your right.
